And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went. Ezekiel 1:12
The secret to being in God’s presence is linked to the posture we assume when the Holy Spirit moves. Many are the plans of man: we strive to progress. But to achieve success, we must obey the ordinances of the Lord.
The examples found in the Word show that if we repeat the actions of the brothers of the past, we will see the same hand outstretched to us. The Psalmist said: By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. (Psalm 33:6)
The Prophet realised that there was no change in the cherubim’s posture. When Peter walked on the water, he looked to the wind instead of looking to the One who created the wind.
No matter how unfavourable a situation might be, if you look to the Master, you will feel Him holding your hand and preventing you from sinking. Do not take your focus out of the Word, out of what God has planted in your heart. The Lord’s sheep hear His voice and follow Him (John 10:27). Do the same and you will have joy.
